Seagen | Enabling a $43B Acquisition:

Led technology strategy and international operations during a hyper-growth phase, positioning the organization for its landmark acquisition by Pfizer.

Bluetooth | 800% Increase in Output:

As an executive lead, Mark designed and built the PMO and Product Management departments. He enabled the team to complete 8x more custom software projects in a single year—up from just one in the previous two years—with minimal staffing increases.

Microsoft | Revenue-Driven Collaboration:

Led a global data analytics project that brought together Enterprise Sales and Global Customer Service, enabling the service team to demonstrate their value via direct contribution to revenue.

Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation | Global Infrastructure:

Designed and validated international financial efforts to solve the challenges of global planning and implementation. Developed the roadmaps to implement global banking, payroll, and expense reimbursement systems across international borders, which enabled staff to access funds and work in any country—including regions in Africa that previously lacked this capability.

Golf Savings Bank | Scaling for Exit:

Designed the transformation and implementation of key software to support the bank’s growth toward a $3B volume and eventual acquisition as VP of Operations.

Mark has operated in a fractional executive capacity for numerous companies in roles such as CIO, CTO, COO, CFO and CSO. He provides strategic counsel on organizational design, product development, financial forecasting, and complex regulatory and legal strategies.

Teaching

Academia | Competitive Business Strategy:

Mark has taught business capstone courses on Competitive Business Strategy at Seattle University and Corporate Policy & Competitive Business Strategy at the University of Washington.

By combining academic requirements with real-world corporate use cases, he teaches the next generation of leaders how to apply Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and critical thinking to modern business challenges. His curriculum is a rigorous simulation of the high-pressure environments where he has spent his career.

Mark has directly led training organizations throughout his career. During which he designed and delivered courses on technology, sales, leadership and intensive EQ courses for corporate organizations, providing individuals with frameworks to improve both their professional and personal lives.
